Jersey’s Chief Beekeeper

Tim Schuler, the state apiarist for New Jersey, inspects beehives and works to encourage more people to get involved in beekeeping. “I inspect colonies looking for diseases and then I help the beekeeper clean them up,” Schuler said. “I go into a lot of really nice parts of New Jersey… [places that] many people who live in New Jersey don’t know anything about.”
