NJ1134.org is an online multimedia magazine created by journalism students at Rowan University. The name of the publication refers to New Jersey's population density - 1,134 people per square mile - in the most crowded state in the nation. Our mission is simple. We spend a semester interviewing New Jersey residents. We gather their stories in a variety of multimedia formats and present them online. In the process, we aim to become better reporters and storytellers. And we hope to provide unique portraits of the people of the Garden State.
